Notting Hill, the favourite shopping district of the well-heeled as well as the hot celebrity or two, now has a new best kept secret. What is it? Well, head down to 33 Kensington Park Road and discover e j k's Atelier Showroom to find the well-heeled woman's cashmere stash. Fans of e j k can now breathe a sigh of relief. No longer do they have to pursue e j k's heavenly cashmere collection at bespoke sale functions, or longingly look over e j k's website to get a glimpse of the dizzying array of colours and styles. Instead the passion for
e j k cashmere can be indulged seven days a week at her beautiful Atelier Showroom.
Try on AMAUNET. A saucy take on the Chanel jacket, it is a must in any sophisticated woman's wardrobe; a stylish minimalist cropped cardigan with an eye-catching cross-stitch. It comes in this season's ice blue, teal, racing green, salmon, burgundy and taupe.
This year's statement piece is KEBECHET; an elegant above-the-knee fluted cashmere jacket with a wonderful trim of amazing quality jet or brown Italian mink down the front. Stunning over a skirt and equally versatile with leggings and boots, this is an effortless staple for those short of time but who still want to look fabulous.
Alternatively, HEMSUT puts a new twist into the classic cashmere dress; a beautifully fitted V-neck that silhouettes in to an A-line skirt. It's available in strong perennial colours such as jet, burgundy, midnight, dark green, taupe and charcoal. Cannot decide? Buy them all so you can suit whatever your mood is that day. Complete the look with a jazzy matching MEDICI jacket that has an adorable feminine bow at the front.
For a great occasion piece, PAKHET is a divine fitted cardigan laced with French organza ruffles. Wanting an adventure? The backless ASTARTE is as sensuous as it looks sexy. It may be worn on its own or with HEQET, an ultra fine large cashmere silk scarf adorned with hand-sewn French couture shot chiffon. This thrown over the shoulders looks breathtaking and feels like a warm caress under a starry night!
RERET, the charming all-rounder, has fluted sleeves and a defined waist cinched at the back. And WOSYET, the ever popular fluid kimono cardigan, is fastened at the front by a large Italian horn button. The day time basic, MERET, is a fine cashmere/silk V-neck with unique reverse knit stripes and fun cashmere elbow patches and e j k's signature style, BAZA, has been innovated this year with a snazzy neck zip.
One last design to mention from among e j k's collection is CHENSIT, an Austro-Mandarin fusion that reflects EmmaJane's international upbringing. Nothing will get heads turning faster with 'I must have that' attitude than this little jacket.
Nor is e j k's Atelier showroom just about cashmere. Here you will find other divine goodies by hip, young designers. Shift the guilt of your e j k purchase by buying your man an Alexandra Llewellyn hand crafted back gammon set. Heading for the races? Pop a sought-after Duppoini silk scarf around your head and perhaps get one as a gift too. From Pontine Paus's stunning limited edition hand bags to MonaVie's top selling mouth-watering fusion of the Brazilian açai berry drink and Amelia Rope's handmade scented chocolate bars, there's no excuse not to come away without some treat tucked under the arm.
